Tribute to a very special Friend ...

I never met Harvey in person,

yet he exerted a strange and wonderful

pressure on me to love him from across an ocean.

Harvey was particularly special to me.

He introduced me to the delights of the

Devon Rex breed, a gift that will live

with me forever.  He epitomised their

enchantment, their verve, their energy,

their pizzazz, their intelligence ...

... and their incredible sense of humour!

Every time I received a batch of pictures

from Melody, Harvey's were the ones

that stood out. They seemed to cry out

for me to DO something with them!

As a result, Harvey is the first kitten you see in the

Gallery. He has his very own Desktop Theme.

He also features in the Devon Heaven screen savers,

and let's not forget his first appearance on the

Big Screen - in the CCF Kit'nCats Screen Saver!

Not that Harvey cared. He might have been

our Mascot, but he remained humble, and

well aware of a Star's need for his Beauty Sleep!

Harvey was truly a Prince among cats.

I'll miss you, Harv. For me,

you will always "Shine On ..."
